The Two Rivers development is a large scale mixed use development which integrates retail, entertainment and lifestyle (REL) facilities. Office parks, residential apartments, hotels and public amenities are also part of the scheme along with indoor and outdoor sport facilities and an event area to facilitate advancement of sporting culture and promote healthy lifestyles. These facilities are supported by high quality, centrally managed infrastructure.
The development is located on a 100 acre parcel of land within the Nairobi metropolitan region within the diplomatic blue zone.
One of the key challenges faced on this project related to anchor tenants coming on board with specific requests that required change to the base design during construction.
The project is developed in an environmentally sustainable manner that seeks to protect and preserve the flora and fauna, the unique physical features including the water resources and the Riparian river. To achieve this objective the masterplan has allocated about 30% of the total area to preservation of green areas.
ChapmanBDSP has designed all the infrastructure for the masterplan.
Two Rivers mall officially opened on Friday 17th February 2017 by President Uhuru Kenyatta to great acclaim. The record 120,105 people are reported to have visited the Mall in the first week of trading.
