BCO Award-Winning Workplace for Capital Group at 1 Paddington Square
At chapmanbdsp, we’re passionate about designing sustainable, people-focused workplaces that inspire and perform. We're proud to have contributed to one such standout project — the new London headquarters for Capital Group at 1 Paddington Square — a landmark 221,000 sq ft CAT B fit-out that has won a regional BCO Award.
Led by Board Director Duncan Scott, our team delivered Technical Due Diligence, MEP design, and Sustainability Consultancy, ensuring the workspace is efficient, adaptable, and built for the future.
Delivered in close collaboration with TP Bennett, CBRE, and a dedicated project team, the new headquarters spans nine floors, thoughtfully designed to balance private offices, open-plan working areas, and flexible touchdown zones. A statement client suite occupies Level 16, featuring a state-of-the-art auditorium and kitchen to support high-profile engagements. Two bespoke staircases run through the floors, improving vertical circulation and encouraging collaboration. Sustainability was a driving principle throughout the project, with the office proudly achieving both BREEAM Excellent and LEED Gold certifications.
This award-winning outcome is a testament to early alignment on space planning, rigorous coordination, and strong partnerships across disciplines — proving that smart, integrated planning results in better, more sustainable workplaces.
We’re thrilled to see this project recognised by the BCO and extend our congratulations to everyone involved. The chapmanbdsp team looks forward to delivering more innovative, human-centric workplaces in the future.
