ChapmanBDSP director Lucy Vereenooghe shortlisted for a prestigious industry award.

ChapmanBDSP director Lucy Vereenooghe has been shortlisted for a prestigious industry award.

Vereenooghe has been revealed as one of nine finalists in the Best Woman Electrical and Mechanical Engineer category in the 2018 ‘European Women In Construction and Engineering Awards.

The awards recognise leading female figures in the industry with the aim of making construction more accessible to women across Europe.

The first female Project Director at ChapmanBDSP, Vereenooghe has collaborated with leading architects on marquee projects in many sectors and her innovative designs lie at the heart of landmark buildings across the globe.

Despite her success over a career spanning 20 years, Vereenooghe has remained a passionate champion for women in the industry.

Matthew Thurston, board director at ChapmanBDSP, said: 'The board and everyone at ChapmanBDSP are extremely happy for Lucy. This is a fantastic achievement and testament to her technical and collaborative ethos with both the business and our clients.'

The finalists will be interviewed by a panel of judges before the winners are announced at an awards ceremony in May – so fingers crossed!
